Interview with TaiwanPlus News
Hannah Stevens

I thought it was about time to share the interview I did with TaiwanPlus News back in June about Tâigael: Stories from Taiwanese & Gaelic. As you'll know by now this is a book I've been editing and have published through my indie press Wind&Bones Books.
TaiwanPlus is the premier international media platform providing English-language news and entertainment from Taiwan. They are a publicly funded organisation, 'based in a thriving democracy at the heart of the most dynamic and fastest growing region on earth.'
Taiwanese Tâi-gí and Gaelic are languages separated by thousands of kilometers — but both have a shared history of once being repressed. And this new book, Tâigael, is an ode to both languages and celebrates authors reviving their mother tongues.
Head over to TaiwanPlus here to watch fellow editor Will Buckingham, writer Naomi Sím and I talk about the book and the language renaissance happening in Taiwan.
It was such a pleasure to speak to reporter Rik Glauert and to meet the whole production team involved in making this interview happen.
